Sandy Adams recently attended the June taping of the Altarum Institute’s Health Policy Forum Roundtable entitled “Speak Up! Influential Women Give Voice to the Challenges of Elder Care” at Detroit Public Television studios. The day began with a roundtable discussion by experts in the field discussing how the current health care systems are unprepared for our aging society, and proposing changes in attitudes, policies and technologies to help make needed changes. Sandy then participated in a breakout session where participants brainstormed ideas for making needed change going forward. The dynamic group of leaders in serving our aging communities will plan to continue this conversation later this year.
